Zip lining is high on the list for many adventure and eco travelers who come to Costa Rica. And two of the best canopy tours in the area can be found nearby.
They’re both excellent and provide an opportunity to see nature from the unique vantage point of a fast-moving zip line experience… with the possibility that you’ll encounter a sloth, a monkey, a toucan, or other exciting wildlife.
The faster one has 11 fast lines and includes two wooden suspension bridges and two repelling adventures (assisted drops!). And – it includes a Tarzan Swing out over the valley when you’re done. The slower one (and it’s not a lot slower, but it is a little more tame) has 9 lines, no repelling and no Tarzan Swing. But – it’s still quite exciting and a lot of fun.
It’s high adventure high in the canopy.
The tour operator is focused on safety first, but is also keenly aware that you’re here to have a great time.
They’ll drive you from the tour office up the mountain where you’ll go though the safety briefing, get fitted in the safety harness, and start your adventure.
Whether you’re here with your family, solo, with a significant other or a group of friends, it’s a great way to see a beautiful part of the mountains and trees here in the southern pacific zone and have an exciting time doing it.
At the end of the faster tour – while participants take turns doing the Tarzan Swing – the guides will provide water and a variety of fresh local fruit. They’ll also take your picture for you while you’re on the swing. And – nearly every person who does on this tour makes their Tarzan Swing photo their Facebook profile photo.
It’s a wonderful and exciting way to get up in nature.
